Project: Support for the popularisation of the life and work of Vojtech Zamarovský

Project location - City of Trenčín, Trenčín Region SK, Slovakia.
Cooperation with the local council of Zamarovce in the preparation of the Vojtech Zamarovský Museum.
Coordination with the Vojtech Zamarovský Club in Trenčín.

The aim of the project is to promote awareness among the public, Trenčín visitors, and school children of probably the most prominent personality of the city of Trenčín – the world-renowned author V. Zamarovský. This way, we seek to gradually advocate for the repayment of the debt, at least partially, that Slovakia and especially the city of Trenčín has to V. Zamarovský. (Unfortunately, this theme does not resonate in the preparation of the project TN – European Capital of of Culture 2026). Since this is a project located mainly in cyberspace, in both SJ and AJ version, it can be seen as nationwide and more (for TN visitors). Through schools, city banners and info boards, basic information about the life and works of Vojtech Zamarovský (gradually introducing e-books) will be conveyed with the help of Q-codes.

Baseline situation:
Awareness of the wider public, focus – school children about the work of Vojtech Zamarovský, the world-famous and recognized personality of documentary-historical literature. With this awareness to contribute to the realization that Slovakia also has great personalities we can be proud of, and thus to help build the uncelebrated or neglected national consciousness.
