Pursuant to Act No. 83/1990 Coll. on the Association of Citizens as amended, the UMEBA Civic Association is a voluntary association of citizens and legal entities aimed at implementing, supporting, preserving and developing the traditions of art in Slovakia and the interpretation of their expressions.
UMEBA is an independent, voluntary, interest-based civic association operating on the territory of the Slovak Republic pursuant to the Act on the Association of Citizens as amended. The association is an independent organization with legal subjectivity, which develops its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Slovak Republic and applicable laws.
Project: Support for the popularisation of the life and work of Vojtech Zamarovský
The aim of the project is to promote awareness among the public, Trenčín visitors, and school children of probably the most prominent personality of the city of Trenčín – the world-renowned author V. Zamarovský. This way, we seek to gradually advocate for the repayment of the debt, at least partially, that Slovakia and especially the city of Trenčín has to V. Zamarovský. (Unfortunately, this theme does not resonate in the preparation of the project TN – European Capital of Culture 2026).
To continue to be instrumental in the establishment of the Vojtech Zamarovský Museum. To promote, disseminate, preserve and develop historical resources – literature in particular – here: Vojtech Zamarovský, the Ambassador of Hellenism, bringing together people with an interest, to foster interest and thus develop a healthy social and national awareness.
